The Pediatric Nurse or Family Practitioner (PNP/FNP), in collaboration with a supervising physician will perform patient management activities for an assigned group of pediatric patients and consults in conjunction with a supervising physician for pediatric patients in the Emergency Department and admitting pediatric patients for inpatient for observation, under the supervision of the Pediatrician. Β Β In addition, indirect patient care responsibilities include role modeling, clinical consultation, and educator.
Education/Certification:
Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and completed an accredited certificate or Masters of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner Program.
Certified as a NP by the ANCC or the AANP.
BLS and PALS Certifications.
