Manages a clinical caseload of patients at Elizabeth Rhea Health Services under the authority of an advanced practice nursing license.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies.
Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.
Performs other duties as required.
EDUCATION
Required:
Master’s degree as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner from an accredited institution.
Preferred:
Doctorate degree as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner
EXPERIENCE
Required:
Two years of professional, clinical nursing experience.
Preferred:
Four years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Internal Medicine, Primary Care or Urgent Care.
Management experience in college health or similar setting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required:
Excellent clinical knowledge and judgement.
Ability to function independently, strategically plan and handle multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
Demonstrated skill and proficiency in performing health care assessments and developing appropriate treatment plans.
Experience with electronic health records.
Strong interpersonal and the ability to work and communicate with a diverse population and with other health care professionals.
Ability to evaluate situations and solve problems; objective and nonjudgmental.
Familiar with proper use and care of medical and office equipment.
Accuracy in following verbal and written instructions, taking medical histories, maintaining records, and in the dissemination and application of technical information.
Vigilance in following universal precautions and blood-borne pathogen policies.
May work under pressure to meet office deadlines and the needs of students.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Required:
Current certification by a nationally recognized credentialing agency
Current RN/CNP registered in the State of Texas
Current CPR/BLS certification.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
All jobs require a current Criminal Background Check (CBC).
Available for evening or weekend activities.
