As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be responsible for the planning and managing of patient care that is tailored to each individual's needs. You will interview patients and record their medical history and medical conditions. Your responsibilities also include, observing patients under treatment to identify progress, side effects of medication, monitoring of patients conditions including fluid intake and output, assisting patients with activities of daily living, collecting samples for laboratory testing as per physician order, providing emtional and psychologcal support to the ill patient as well as communicating with patients family and friends to give update about care and treatment.
Responsibilities
Recording the patients' history
Administration of medications and injections as prescribed by the physician
Taking and recording of vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, weight, pulse, oxygen
Providing basic wound care including cleaning and bandaging non intack skin
Administration of immunizations
