Te Mahi/The Role…
Our nursing team, in collaboration with the wider MDT, deliver exceptional palliative care services to our patients and whānau throughout the communities of South and Southeast Auckland. We offer specialised palliative care both onsite at Tōtara Hub (Inpatient unit, Outpatient clinics, Te Puna ora o Tōtara) and in the community.
Tōtara Hospice adopts a holistic assessment and care planning program that is underpinned by a Te Whare Tapa Whā framework where the team collaborates in partnership with the patient and whānau. This wrap-around care ensures patients live their last years of life well and enables you to find joy in your work.

As part of our commitment, we foster a welcoming and supportive environment for both staff and patients, and we actively honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in our service delivery.
Our work culture reflects this inclusivity, evidenced by our place as the WINNER in the 2024 2degrees Auckland Business Awards for "Employer of the Year," and finalists for "Sustainability Excellence," and "People’s Choice."
