We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our healthcare team at Alliance Community Healthcare Jersey City, New Jersey. As a CNM, you will provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological care to women of all ages. This role involves working collaboratively with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and positive birthing experiences for mothers and babies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct routine prenatal examinations, assess the health status of pregnant women, and provide appropriate care and education.
  • Assist with labor and delivery, including monitoring fetal heart rates, managing pain relief, and providing emotional support to mothers.
  • Perform postpartum assessments and provide care and education to new mothers on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
  • Provide family planning services, including contraception counseling and prescriptions.
  • Conduct routine gynecological exams, screenings, and tests.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in community outreach programs and educational initiatives related to women's health.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active, unrestricted New Jersey CNM medical license, CDS, & DEA.
  • Minimum 1 year full-scope Midwifery experience; new grads will be considered with a minimum of 3 years L&D RN experience.
  • eClinicalWorks experience helpful but not required.
  • Eligible to participate in state programs including but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Current certification as a Nurse Midwife (CNM) by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
  • Master's degree in Nurse-Midwifery from an accredited program.
  • Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
