Minimum Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner: Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing, graduation from a Nurse Practitioner program approved by the North Carolina Medical Board, and βapproved to practice medical actsβ consistent with the nurse practitionerβs academic educational preparation AND national certification. or Physician Assistant: Graduation and or completion of an educational program for Physician Assistants accredited by the Accreditation and Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant and an active Physician Assistant License issued by the North Carolina Medical Board. NCCPA certification needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Although general medicine knowledge is required, training and/or experience with adolescent medical care is also highly desirable. Sports medicine knowledge is also desirable.
