COMMUNITY SHIFT NURSE - Registered Nurse/Registered Practical Nurse

Access Healthcare Services Inc. is looking for passionate nurses to join our growing community care team providing care to clients in their home willing to work with pediatric clients and palliative end of life care.

Work Area: Hawkesbury and surrounding areas

Shifts: Overnight Shift

What will you do:

• Provide in-home, high quality client centered care
• Develop and evaluate care plans in collaboration with the client
• Provide palliative and end of life care as per nursing best practices
• Provide pediatric care as per nursing best practices
• Demonstrate the mission, vision and values of Access Healthcare Services Inc. while providing care to clients and/or caregivers
• Understand and practice infection prevention and control measures
• Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education opportunities
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure client needs are met

What will you need:

• Overnight availability
• Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with CNO
• Proof of Covid-19 vaccination

• Vehicle required with valid driver’s license
• Car insurance with a liability of $2 million
• Valid CPR
• Step 2 TB Test (Completed within the last 2 years)
• Vulnerable Sector Police Check (less than 3 months old)
• LEAP training preferred

The skills and qualities we look for:

• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience within the last 3 years preferred however new graduates are welcome to apply
• Pediatric Care experience preferred (willing to provide training to the right candidate)
• Palliative Care experience preferred (willing to provide training to the right candidate)
• Previous experience in community care an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual considered an asset
• Cultural education and experience
