Nurse Practitioner – Cardiovascular Medicine

Join a leading cardiology team in Brooklyn, NYC as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in cardiovascular medicine. In this role, you will play a key part in diagnosing, managing, and treating patients with heart conditions while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team. Your expertise in cardiovascular care will contribute to improved patient outcomes and overall heart health.

Position Details

  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Salary: $150,000 - $160,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Provide specialized care for adults with cardiovascular conditions, ensuring evidence-based treatment.
  • Administer and oversee cardiac diagnostic tests, such as stress tests, to support accurate diagnoses.
  • Order, interpret, and integrate lab and imaging results into patient treatment plans.
  • Develop and manage treatment strategies for cardiovascular conditions, including preventive care.
  • Educate patients and families on heart health, disease management, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Prescribe medications in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Stay current with advancements in cardiovascular medicine to enhance patient care.
  • Assist with additional duties as needed to support the cardiology team.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
  • Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC, AANP).
  • Active, unrestricted New York State RN license.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

·       Active Medicare/Medicaid enrollment or eligibility.

·       Minimum of 1-2 years as a Nurse Practitioner in cardiovascular medicine.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft Office.
